Founded in 2010, SFC – Shoah Film Collection
had in the beginning just a slow, but in 2012 a rapid and successful development.
By introducing the event structure for presenting “SFC – Shoah Film Collection”,i.e. “A Virtual Memorial- Commemorative Interventions”, in 2012 the first three events took place in RIGA, Phnom Penh and Warsaw, resulting an extention of the thematic spectrum by including a new collection of documentaries about the Cambodian genocide 1975-1979, and consequently the creation of CTF – Collective Trauma Film Collections including SFC _ Shoah Film Collection as its basis.
At the end of 2012, CTF – Collective Trauma Film Collections are now representing another and the expanded international world-wide unique initiative by Wilfried Agricola de Cologne addressed to young generations of artists and film makers to deal with the topic of collective trauma caused by totalitarism by using new technologies and contemporary approaches in art in order to keep vivid the memory via art.
